Are you a digital nomad?

Hello! I hope you are all doing well. It has certainly been a while since I've posted, and I wanted to touch base with everyone. I hope everyone is making it with the rise of inflation, gasoline prices, and housing difficulties. It is amazing how different things have become for the world after Covid-19.

The time has come for us to find a new path towards our future. Our current living situation has run its course. We've been having this discussion for quite some time now. I've been moving most of our belongings to a storage unit for a few weeks now. I am truly grateful for the time we were given, but we must part ways in the near future. This is also important for the mental health for everyone involved. We are exploring various options for our upcoming journey.

It is said that one should create multiple plans just in case one doesn't pan out. We begin with plan A, and we move on through the alphabet. At times, we need to circle back to the beginning of the alphabet when things get complicated. Complications can arise due to a multitude of reasons. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are doing anything wrong. However, we must remember to take responsibility for ourselves when we do mess up. Everyone is prone to making mistakes in life. We can either pick ourselves up and keep pushing, or we can allow the situation to fester until it becomes unbearable. From personal experience, we have made multiple mistakes in life. We've learned from some, but we have repeated a few of them.

You know the saying, "one step forward, another step back?" This has sort of been our motto over the years, but we are trying to change that into something more positive. We don't want to just survive anymore. We want to start living! Life is just too short. Our heart and mind is in the right place, but we have to make it happen. That can only happen if we put in the effort. It will take courage, discipline, sacrifice, and continuous planning. My family needs to be a team and work together. It can be difficult to break a cycle that has been repeated over several years, but I am optimistic that we can.

This brings me to the question, are you a digital nomad? What made you decide to become one? I'd love to hear your experiences, tips, advice, etc. I have spent countless hours reading blogs and articles. I have also researched affordable and/or free camping locations to boondock, but I'd love to hear your personal experiences and reasons (if you want to share) on why you decided to take this route.

Why am I contemplating a digital nomadic lifestyle? I'll share a tidbit of information with all of you. It is only fair since I asked you to do the same. Aside from the current living situation, we have some reasons on why this lifestyle may be beneficial for us. My husband began a new job. It should be a great job after some time. He will be out on the road for a week at a time. We could even transfer to a different location or state after a certain amount of time. In the meantime, we must stay within a certain distance of the work location until then. Why not incorporate a digital nomadic lifestyle into the mix?

Of course, that is not the only reason. It would provide us with more wiggle room to pay off some of our debts and rebuild our credit. The housing market is difficult at the moment, and our credit is poor. It will be a challenge to come up with the substantial amount of money it would take for us to move into our own place. Not to mention the much higher cost of rent. Rental prices have skyrocketed over this past year or so. Plus, the costs of submitting multiple rental applications with the high potential of being denied solely due to our credit rating or having small pets would be especially draining on our finances.

I want to turn this into a positive experience if we decide to go this route. As I have mentioned, I've been doing a great deal of research. I also have several pages bookmarked. I'm not oblivious to the fact that it can be down right challenging or mentally draining. This journey could possibly be one of the best decisions we've ever made. Or...it could be a total disaster. We won't know the outcome until we try. I do have personal safety in mind. I've been scouting safe locations, personal protection, hygienic facilities, and locations with good cell phone service.

If we decide to go this route, I'd love to blog about my journey. I could share some of the ups and downs, locations, tips, photographs, videos, etc. I'd be able to go just about anywhere. I could already imagine some of the views we could wake up to. We have lived in an RV prior to this for a couple years due to the work location, but this will be a whole other ballgame. I actually sorely miss RV living, and I am looking forward to the time we will be able to save up for another one.

Please share your nomadic lifestyle experiences with me. I'd love to hear them!

Covid-19, Cost of Insulin, Type 1 Diabetes, and Medical Concerns

Please allow me to express a few thoughts that I've been struggling with. The following blog post is my personal opinion, thoughts, and/or experiences. It is not medical or professional advice. If you have any questions or doubts about any information within this blog post, please speak to your medical professional for resources and advice. They will be able to point you in the right direction.

The Covid-19 pandemic appears to be raging on. My heart goes out to all of those that have been affected by loss of your loved ones, financial burdens, mental health struggles, and other challenges. EVERYONE is facing some type of struggle. Please be kind to one another.

I am angry, disappointed, and heartbroken. We all face struggles at some point in our lives. However, the past couple of years has brought on more challenges than some can handle. Alienation and division...people are fighting over politics, mandates, and Covid-19 vaccinations. Inflation is rising faster than wallets can be filled. Individuals are struggling with their mental and physical health.

The pharmaceutical companies are raking in billions of dollars due to Covid-19 vaccinations and testing. This is where I must express my personal bitterness with the response to the pandemic. The government is paying for FREE Covid-19 vaccinations and testing for everyone in the United States. Please don't get me wrong. I am pleased that people are receiving assistance with testing and vaccinations if wanted/needed. I am upset that there are minimal solutions to other life-saving medical needs.

There are millions of individuals that cannot afford their medications and/or medical care. Diabetics, cancer patients, elderly care, and others are struggling. Co-pays, deductibles, and premiums are astronomical for most insurance plans. Millions of people cannot afford to purchase medical insurance and don't qualify for health insurance programs. People are having to choose between a life-saving medical procedure, medications, or other necessities.

Did you know that most medical procedures and medications are MUCH more affordable or free in other countries? The cost of medical care and medication is presumed to be the highest in the United States. If I could cross the border over to Mexico or Canada, I could purchase my daughter's life-saving insulin for a fraction of the cost in the USA. My daughter is a newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetic. She will die without insulin. She is only 20 years of age and will be on insulin for the rest of her life.

Why is insulin so expensive in this country? According to several sources found on the internet, a vial of insulin costs an average of $2.28-$6.16 to produce. Why are they charging such an astronomical price for insulin?! Did you know that many diabetics are rationing their insulin due to financial restraints? Rationing insulin can be lethal to a diabetic. Insulin and other life-saving medications should not be this expensive. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed in America.

**Be sure to contact the pharmaceutical companies to find out about any discount program they may be offering for the uninsured and/or underinsured. Some companies may advertise discounts on their individual website. Unfortunately, some companies do not offer any publicized discounts. However, it doesn't hurt to contact them directly or speak to a medical professional for information or resources.

There is a misconception that a diabetic is the cause of their own condition. There are differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetic conditions. Type 1 diabetes is caused when their body (pancreas) does not produce enough insulin. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that has no cure. There are several complications associated with this condition.

My daughter was diagnosed over the summer when she was hospitalized for Diabetic Ketoacidosis and has experienced multiple complications due to her condition. She has already endured two surgeries to remove severe cataracts from both of her eyes, her glucose levels are difficult to stabilize, and she has other complications as well. Her emotions are also on a constant rollercoaster ride, BUT she is a fighter! I cannot tell you how proud I am of her!

Thank you for reading my blog post about Covid-19, the cost of insulin, Type 1 Diabetes, and other concerns with healthcare. I hope you have a wonderful day, and I hope you are able to obtain the resources needed to assist you with any needs you may have. I will be sharing more content on diabetes in the coming days.

I welcome you to contact me with a potential 'guest post' about your personal diabetic journey. No affiliate links will be permitted. You will not be compensated for sharing a guest post on this blog, and I retain the right to refuse any content. We can discuss the details of a guest post in private.

Progress! Theme and layout changes

Hello!

I have started the process of creating changes within this blog. At this time, I am currently going with a clean and simple theme. I would like my readers to spend less time seeking previous content. My blog should load quicker with this design as well. Time is a precious commodity that can be difficult to balance. I have removed the top tags as they were broken, and I will update other links and tabs as I go. There will be additional changes to the home page as time goes on.

One of my favorite features on this theme is that it will now display the date of the blog post. My previous theme did not allow readers to see the date. I'm not sure why or how that happened. I was unable to fix the issue. I also love how organized this is going to appear once I make a few more modifications to the sidebar.

I have a few posts that I am eager to share with my readers. However, I would like to create a few more updates on the blog before I write them. What do you think about the new theme? Does it appear to be an easier layout and reader friendly? Do you have any future content suggestions? Let me know your thoughts! I will continue to share updates as I work on this blog. I'm excited to share this new journey with you!

Greetings From Michele's Little World!

Hello!

It has been a while since I've posted an update. I decided to take a hiatus from blogging to focus on personal and family life. I would like to start sharing content again, and I hope you will continue to follow my blog.

Michele's Little World is in dire need of a fresh start! Content will be published at a slow pace until I get back into the swing of things. There will be some major changes along the way, but I will continue to maintain a family friendly blog. Changes will include additional topic matter, new layout/template, repair/remove broken links, video reviews, and various other changes. It is important to create a blog that more readers can relate to.

I am excited about the future of this blog. Please bare with me while it is under construction!

Blog update!

Dear readers,

I know that is has been a while since I've posted. I have been extremely busy! Some of you might remember my blog post about returning to college. I am a non-traditional college student, and pursing a degree in social work. It can be challenging to balance family, life, chores, school, and blogging.

I finished my last final of the semester yesterday. I'm pleased to announce that I will be adding new posts this month! Please bare with me, and thank you for sticking by my blog! You are all amazing and appreciated.

Merry Christmas!

Michele's Little World Update

Dear Readers,

I hope you are all doing well! Can you believe that it is now 2016?! Did you make any resolutions? I did not. We are just working on positive and gradual lifestyle changes. I know that my blog posts have been sporadic for some time now. I apologize for this. I knew that college would take up a great deal of my personal time, but it has been an amazing experience.

For those that may not know about my journey, I decided to return to college as an older adult in the fall of 2014. My major is Social Work, and I am currently working toward an Associate degree. I'd like to continue my education at a University after graduation, but I am taking it one step at a time.

I do have fabulous news to share with all of you! My oldest has received one of the highest awards in the Boy Scouts. He has earned the Eagle Scout rank. He will graduate high school this summer and head off to college. We are extremely proud of his accomplishments. He will be almost 19 when he begins his college journey. Our plan is for him to live at home while earning his degree.

I cannot believe how quickly time has passed. Our daughter is in high school as well. It won't be long before both of our children are in college. We are proud of both of them!

Please feel free to share how things are going for you! Has anything wonderful or life changing happened in your life? Did you enter the 1.5 Billion dollar powerball?! Time has been a balancing act for my family, but I'm definitely working on it. My blog will be updated more often. Let me know what type of blog posts you'd like to see! I know that several of my readers enjoy giveaways. However, I am unsure of when the next giveaway will be. I do hope that I'll have something to offer for you soon!

Take care and Happy New Year!

Are you ready for more blog giveaways?

Dear Readers,

As some of you may know, I've returned to college. It has definitely been a challenging journey for me, but rewarding as well. Unfortunately, it has also caused my blog to be neglected as well. To my faithful readers, I thank you for standing by patiently! It has been a learning process on how to balance my time between family, college, activities, blogging, etc. However, I am improving with my time management! Now if only the housekeeping fairy would pay me a visit!

Anyway, I wanted to touch base with all of you. A small giveaway has just ended this week. I have two more giveaways to post for all of you to enter! They should be posted by tomorrow. I am in the process of seeking more sponsors for future giveaways. Please continue to be patient with me.

Take care, and don't forget to check back tomorrow for a new giveaway...or two!

P.S. A question has been raised about how winners are chosen. I am currently using a new widget for my giveaways. 'Giveaway Tools' will generate a winner from all entries at the end of the giveaway. No winners are chosen by myself at this time. Prior to using Giveaway Tools, I used a random generator online. I want my entrants to rest assure that winners are chosen fairly.

Las Vegas: Sin City, a World of Entertainment in One Place

The glamorous lights and magical shows draw people in like confections given to children. Getting caught up in the moment of a tempting array of excitement. There is no shortage of provocative entertainment and ghastly or sensational attire. Diversely rich in cultural experiences. Ah yes, something unique awaits for each individual person. The powerful resistance to temptation slowly losing its grip on visitors.

The sounds of people hurling their riches into the machines and the smell of stale cigarette smoke filling your lungs. Loud clinking sounds and bells ringing your ears while screams of winners come from every corner of the room. Some yelps of disappointment among the screams of joy.

Ghostly images of lost souls walking the halls of the most nostalgic buildings. Memoirs of past entertainers carefully framed upon the walls. Warped and positive memories of what has, is, or might have been. Decor slowly fading with its historical age.

Prestigious dance halls and glamorous clubs. The most pronounced reserved for the elite. Dining halls with the most tasteful cuisine or cocktail shrimp to satisfy your hunger. Hundreds of restaurants or fast food to choose from.

Drunkards roaming the streets. Some looking for a good time, others seeking trouble. An alcoholic prohibition would surely cause this industry to swell with debt. Happy hour is available twenty-four hours a day. A refreshment rarely empty. Waitresses scour the floor in search of tipsters to bring home a cash flow nearly enough for survival. Beggars reach out for your spare change as visitors parade past with dazzling costumes.

Vans and trucks floating down the strip with advertisements clearly geared towards the sexual desires of man. Women fill the vans with their nearly nude bodies and call out to fellow drivers. Enticing them with their flawless curves and sexy voices. Adult entertainment knows little boundary in sin city.

Lovely decor resembling the most beautiful scenes in France and Italy. Once inside, you feel as if you've entered a new culture without the riches for an airline ticket. Romantic Gondola rides with a loved one through an indoor canal. Peek up towards the ceiling to witness a breathtakingly replica of the daylight sky. The angelic sounds coming from the man on the gondola. While sounds of guests ring out in the air. Visitors gawking at the beautiful surroundings and snapping memorable photographs of the artistic designs around them.

Slumber in rooms on a low budget or high roller tab. Hundreds of hotels, towers, and luxurious resorts fill the streets of Vegas. Social classes mingling throughout the luxurious town. Sin city is not just for the most prestigious visitors. Though, you may cross paths with some of the most powerful and wealthy citizens of the nation.

Whether you are there to merely take in a show, play a few slots, or watch the millions of lights on the streets, there is something for everyone. Entertainment for children is also available. Museums, aquariums, games, and small theme park rides are available for the younger generations and more gentle crowds. Plenty of stores, wedding chapels, shops, and nature on nearly every corner.

Las Vegas is an interesting place to visit, but make sure that you watch your surroundings. Enjoy yourself and don’t go into debt while taking in the sites and the gaming tables!

Celebrating? Do NOT Drink and Drive!

Millions of individuals will be celebrating the New Year with cocktails and other alcoholic beverages on New Year's Eve. Many of the United States and other countries offer low cost or free designated driver programs. If a program is not available in your location, please seek assistance from a loved one who will be available if you decide to have a few celebratory drinks.
Thousands of fatal or serious accidents are caused by drunk drivers. Many victims are seriously injured or parish due to injuries sustained from the accident. These accidents are preventable. No one should lose a loved one or experience a life changing event due to an ignorant decision of the intoxicated driver.
If you cannot find a designated driver; the celebration should be conducted in a location that you plan to spend the night. Please don't put your life or other innocent lives at risk. DRUNK DRIVING IS NEVER OKAY. There is no excuse in getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
On a more personal level, I know someone who drove while intoxicated. He killed three women over this choice. This man spent a few years in prison, currently on conditional house arrest, and has to live with what he has done for the rest of his life. I honestly don't know how this man didn't get as much time as he served. However, the courts say that he paid his dues. I couldn't imagine having to live the rest of my life knowing that I caused three innocent deaths due to an irrational decision to drink and drive.
This website provides information on drunk driving and statistics. The website also includes information on victim services.

Celebrate the New Year responsibly!

"Hall Of Fame" Music Video

Do you enjoy listening to music? I am passionate about listening to music. Musical lyrics can sooth, boost, or even change your mood. I'll even listen to some songs multiple times in a row.
The music that I listen to depends on my mood at the time. Some songs can be extremely powerful and meaningful. I dedicate songs to my teens once in awhile. If I find something that I feel
strongly about for them, I'll share it.

This is the latest song that I "dedicated" to my children. I love my children immensely and
want to see them succeed in life. I don't want anyone or anything getting in the way of them
reaching their dreams. If I can help it, I won't let that happen. I'll encourage, protect, and be supportive of my children until my last breath.

I hope this works because, I've never tried to share a youtube video on here before.
If it doesn't work, I linked the video in the song title. Listen to the lyrics. This might
encourage you or someone you love as well!

"Hall Of Fame" - The Script

Are you prepared for the winter?

As the temperatures continue to drop around the nation, are you prepared for the winter weather that is coming upon us? I've been discussing this topic with my husband. I'm concerned more about the potential weather this year than previously. Possibly because, this region is due for a severe winter. We haven't endured a winter crisis here as of yet. Not since relocating, but we've heard stories. We have dealt with minimal ice and snow, but nothing that hindered us for a long period of time.

We live down at the end of a two-mile country road. Lovely tree's surround the road all the way down. Our landlord is the closest neighbor within safe walking distance. He does have large equipment that could help us get out of our driveway if needed. He plowed for us when it snowed. Now, I do LOVE snow! I'm okay if it snows here, but I don't want an ice storm to hit. That is an entirely different story. We definitely need to order some more propane soon. We use it for heating. I have electric heaters, but if the power goes out...

I've already picked up one 25 pound bag of ice melting salts, but would like to pick up a couple more. Some additional items that I'd like to stock up on, are:

Bottled Water
Additional blankets
Non-perishable foods that can be consumed with or w/o heating.
Baby wipes to freshen up in case of power outages (electric water heater)
Batteries
And various other items.

It wouldn't hurt to have these items on hand all through the year. We experience severe weather with tornadoes as well. It's much different than when we lived in California. I've been asked how I could handle living in a region where tornadoes are common. My reply was "You cannot see an earthquake coming, you can at least see, hear, or know that a tornado is coming." Still doesn't make it any less scary, but I'd rather know what is about to happen!

DON'T FORGET to check on your neighbors, disabled, and elderly!

You can visit Ready.gov for information on winter preparedness.

Give the gift of hope this season

I enjoy the autumn season, but with it comes cooler temperatures. There are millions of homeless and less fortunate individuals out there. They are struggling to stay warm, find a warm meal, and find shelter. Many of the larger cities offer shelters within a church or traditional homeless shelter. However, smaller communities lack enough resources to properly assist those in need. Food pantries may also be scarce or running low on supplies.

I encourage you to go through your homes. Look for jackets that are no longer needed, extra blankets, warm clothing, hats, gloves, shoes, socks, anything to help warm someone in need. If there are no shelters or clothing pantries nearby, seek out those who are less fortunate. If you find a homeless person on the streets, offer a blanket and/or a few supplies. Visit a school and speak with the counselor about a potential family in need. Let them know what you have to offer. Social Services and DHS may know where to donate.

Look through your own food cupboards or pantry. See if there is something, anything you could share with another family. No donation of food is too small to someone that is trying to figure out how to feed themselves or their children. I encourage you to give the gift of hope this season. I challenge you to make this part of a regular routine. While you are sitting in a heated room with a lovely meal on the table, another family may be freezing and severely hungry.

Passed My Midterms!

The stress from preparing for my midterm exams is over. Now, I have a new goal. Pass the finals!! Why? I passed all of my midterm exams this week! What an amazing feeling it was to see the grades. Each time my exam was submitted, I would hold my breath and close my eyes. I'm pretty sure that my sigh of relief could be heard by others. I had a serious case of anxiety over these exams for the last couple weeks. The midterms and finals are the biggest percentage of our final grade.

Walking out of the classrooms, I had the biggest smile on my face. Have you seen the movie, "Pursuit of happiness"? Remember the part where he walks out of the building and throws his hands into the air as a celebratory gesture? I seriously felt like doing this very thing. It was the first of my college accomplishments. I did dance in my seat on the way home last night. Being at the college from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm was exhausting.

What's the verdict? My midterm exams netted me the following grades:

Biology Lab- A
Biology Lecture- B
Sociology- A
American History- A

We don't have a midterm exam in English Composition. I'm assuming that it is due to all of the essay assignments.

Thank you all for being with me on this journey! I'm 1/2 way to the end of my first semester!

Chit Chat about Sociology assignment

My son had a school function last night. We were an hour early so I decided to connect to the school's WiFi. We had a required twenty-five minute video to watch for Sociology. I have to admit, this video was quite enlightening. We are mainly discussing various crimes and punishments this week.

Did you know that the Wall Street crash of 1929 was largely due to fraud? I didn't know this. Well, at least I don't remember hearing about it. It does make a lot of sense. Similar financial crisis' have been happening through the years. Many also being related to fraud. “White collar crimes” are extremely common. Many go “unnoticed” because, they have the resources and finances to buy their way out of the punishment.

One person in the video mentions that another financial crisis similar to the “Depression” is inevitable. I believe this to be true. I’ve said many times that I believe something similar is going to happen in our future. Preppers are normally the only ones who tend to agree with me though. Many people have the notion that another depression cannot happen due to the technology in the world today. Truth is, anything can happen. Nothing is impossible and our nation is already in a declining state.

It is unfair that the elite can get away with serious crimes. Those who are poor, working class, and middle class doesn’t stand half of the chance in receiving a fair punishment. Many “street crimes”, including minor offenses receive a harsher punishment than some of the more serious white collar crimes.

Take manslaughter for example. It’s been noted that a wealthy man who fled the scene of a fatal accident in which he caused by excessive speeding, was given an extremely light sentence. He was given 2 years house arrest in a luxurious condo, and paid a private settlement to the men’s widows. He did not apologize or show remorse for his actions. However, take a working class man who has an accident where fatalities are involved. He was drinking, but didn’t flee the accident. He was extremely remorseful. However, his actions were punishable offenses because, he was drinking while driving. The man receives an 8 year prison sentence, house arrest, probation, fines, and various other punishments. I’m sure that you could see how the accidents are similar, but the punishments were extremely different. The wealthy man was able to “buy” his way out of his own serious punishment.

Another example may be a homeless man who stole food because, he was hungry VS. a wealthy executive who skims money from the company to line his pockets. Or an example of a man who has a marijuana addiction that ends up receiving a life sentence for subsequent possessions. Is that a fair punishment? I don’t agree with it, but some might. All illegal crimes should be punished, but a fair sentence should be given to everyone. Not just those with lined pockets or higher social classes.

It shouldn’t matter how much money, type of culture, or power the person has. They should receive the same treatment as everyone else. I could go on and on about this discussion, but I’d be here all night! It is definitely an interesting and heated subject. Truth is that yes, some white collar crimes are properly punished, but statistics show that a majority of the white collar crimes go unpunished, or receive lighter sentences than their lower class counterparts.

Cultural Food Differences

I'm normally culturally diverse when it comes to trying new foods. There are some items that other cultures enjoy that I just cannot bring myself to try. Some cultures dine on domestic animals (cat, dog, horse, etc.), insects (grasshoppers, ants, worms, scorpions, etc.), and various other foods. There is a scientific claim that many of the insects are highly healthy for you. On the subject of scientific claims of insects... Did you know that scientists also claim that we eat insects while sleeping? Well, this is something I've heard, anyway.

How about this well known fact. Did you know that the FDA (U.S. Food and drug administration) allows certain levels of insect parts, larvae, rodent hairs, etc. in our food? The company doesn't even have to add a label with this information. (Hungry yet?). Don't worry, unsafe "levels" are not permitted....or so they say.

I found an interesting article for you. There are thousands of articles on the same thing. Just type in "Insect parts and FDA" within your Google search.

Huffington Post Article

On a side note. Have you realized that countries whom consumes insects have lower weight issues than in the United States? Many of them are also much healthier and live longer. Could we take a cue from other cultures? Certainly, but how willing are you to start consuming these delicacies?

Chocolate covered ants don't sound too bad! Or how about that worm in the bottom of your tequila bottle? Many specialty shops, and candy shops offer an array of products with insects. Maybe I will give something a try...Baby steps...

My Kroger Shopping Trip 9/5

(This photograph is only a partial part of my shopping trip)

I am a frugal shopper. Anytime there are coupons available for what I need, I'm going to search for a match-up. Deals may not be as good as they use to be, but you can still find some.

I even receive discount codes via texts for various companies: Rack Room Shoes, Sonic Drive-In, Goody's, Payless Shoes, Kangaroo gas stations...Some of the discounts sent via text are amazing! For Example: Goody's often sends out discount codes for 40% off one item. You can use these codes on clearance items unless specified otherwise.

You may not be able to save much on meat and produce, but you can generally stock up on the extra's. For meat and produce, check around for the best deals.

Anyway, here are the deals I received today! After paper coupons, digital coupons, mega sale, store sale, markdowns, Savingstar rebate, and a $10 rebate from a Loves purchase (Visa gift card), all of this came out to around $32.30 out of pocket. This is a substantial savings!

Some may ask why so many of one item. My question would be, why pay full price later for something you will need or want anyway? I only paid .99 per pack of Kotex Overnights. If your household uses 2-3 packs a month, wouldn't it make sense to save up to $4 per pack? (Prices may vary by location). Or if your household consumes snacks daily, wouldn't it be wise to stock up while there is a great sale? There is absolutely nothing wrong with stocking up. Don't let anyone tell you differently. There is a HUGE difference between a stockpile vs. hoarding.

Everything from this list came from Kroger.

8 Packs Kotex Overnight Maxi Pads
10 Weight Watchers Smart Ones meals
2 Jimmy Dean Grilled steak & Potatoes Lunch Entree's
5 Packs Angel soft 72 Count facial tissue
1 Box Honey nut cheerios (Hubby told me to stop stocking up on cereal, lol. I brought home another box anyway! Hey, for .50 cents? I'd be crazy not to! It will be eaten before expiration.)
1 Large container Minute Maid Orange Juice
2 Zone bars
1 pint Raspberries
1 6 count bag Pirate's Booty Snacks
1 Box Quaker granola bars
2 12 count boxes individually wrapped fig newton bars
1 5 count box kraft mac & cheese
1 10 count box Capri Suns
1 24 count box popcicles
1 Suave Lotion severe dry skin lotion
.....some chocolate to hide (Ssshhhh!)

My advice is to definitely spend a little time researching coupon match-ups. Utilize your rebates/refunds in useful ways, and look into rewards programs. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I visit a coupon forum often. weusecoupons.com has been my "go to" coupon community since 2011.
