Save money- Shop Kroger $25 GC GIVEAWAY! Ends 8/15

Saving money in this economy has proven to be a challenge. Feeding your family shouldn't be a burden and no one should have to feel that pressure. Feeding your family should be a joyous and proud experience. How can you fill your pantry and care for your family for less? There are several ways! I'd love to share one of my favorite ways to save with you.

When you think Kroger do you think "high end" or "expensive"? You shouldn't! I'm far from having a large budget and I shop at Kroger frequently for our grocery and basic needs. I was one of those who stereotyped the quality and atmosphere of the grocery store in the beginning. Stereotyping is one of my pet peeves so I just had to prove myself wrong and I am definitely glad I did.

The first thing I did when I arrived was sign up for the rewards card for bonus savings. Signing up for the card is simple, painless, and FREE. By using your card, you also rack up fuel points for savings off of your gasoline purchase! 10 cents off per gallon of gasoline sounds wonderful, doesn't it? I have several points saved up on my card. Unfortunately, we don't have a Kroger gas station in our area. However, they will be on my card when I go to another town that does offer a Kroger fueling station.

When you sign up for your own rewards card, click on over to download coupons onto your card!

*Limit one use for each coupon. A limit of 150 coupons can be added per card. All coupon values reflect exact discount at register. Regardless of normal store processes, coupons will not double.

Coupons I chose to download directly onto my card for my next trip (Most will not expire until the end of August 2010) even if I don't use them right away, I'll still have time for future visits:

Total savings if digital coupons used: $14.00. Not too shabby if you add in the extra savings through the store and paper coupons you may be using!

Kroger also offers free samples online periodically. Don't forget to check and see if there is a SAMPLE you can sign up for!

I think that one of my favorite ways to save in Kroger would have to be the "Managers Specials" offered throughout the store. Look around for the orange stickers with clearance savings! A few days ago, I was able to pick up an entire weeks worth of groceries with a few coupons, sales and clearance specials for less than $34 for a family of 4. Now, THAT'S a bargain I can live with! You can find these deals all over the store.

Kroger offers weekly specials worth checking out. 10 for $10 deals, meat savings, etc. Several ways to stock up your pantry and freezer for less.

Do you enjoy Kraft Mac & Cheese with your meal or alone for lunch? Right now, you can pick up a 5pk at various Kroger stores for $2.50. On the packages, you can find a coupon for a free box of Capri Suns fruit drinks. Believe me, I'm now stocked up for the rest of the year on Mac & cheese, LOL! My kids enjoy fruit drinks and I also send them to school for daily snacks so this worked out perfectly.

The bottom line is, if you're searching for new ways to save money, check your local Kroger grocers for great weekly specials and everyday savings!
